King George Tea Party
6 February 2020
Fellow Members of the King George TEA Party:
Sorry for the delay in getting this weekly Newsletter out earlier. As noted, I spend this past weekend visiting my parents, returned on Tuesday evening, Wednesday I had my remaining Wisdom teeth extracted, and am now only able to get to it.
As this morning’s “gentle reminder” noted, we are hosting two guest speakers; Daniel Gade and Dakota Worrell. While the next Newsletter will have a summary of the discussions there isn’t anything like attending in-person!
Tuesday night featured President Trump’s State of the Union speech. It was fantastic by all accounts. As noted in a friend’s e-mail, Trump’s message is full of heart for ordinary people. It is signature Trump: “Our agenda is relentlessly pro-worker, pro-family, pro-growth, and, most of all, pro-American.” A quote from the opening line:
For those that missed the opportunity, here are some links to the speech’s content:
There were many, many children in the House of Representatives during the SOTU, among the most visible was Nancy Pelosi (the others were all of the Democrats that refused to celebrate America’s successes outlined during the speech). The following describes what she did immediately after the speech… but what was done in a very disrespectful manner:
The other notable issue this week is the abysmal failure during the Democrat’s Iowa caucus. I am sure you have been able to read about it so I won’t belabor the point here. What is notable was this snippet from Joe Biden about one of his competitors, Bernie Sanders. After listening to ALL of the Democrats tout their various versions of Socialism during their campaigning and debates, it is almost comical to see how fearful they have become that an actual self-avowed Socialist is now in the lead for their party.
And finally one point that will be brought up during tonight’s monthly meeting will be the call for those interested in taking the position as KGTP Chairman. The monthly meeting in March will feature brief (3-5 minute) speeches by anyone that would like to be considered for the position (so begin preparations if you are interested). The monthly meeting in April will feature a vote for the Chairman.
And now for the news:
TEA Party / Nationalism Movement
From the top article below:
There is much to admire about how Brexit has been achieved given all of the obstacles that they had to overcome - administratively with regard to the European Union, politically with regards to the monarchy’s “establishment”, and culturally with regards to popular support. I truly hope that the USA establishes some fantastic trading partnerships in the near-term in order to buoy their economy.
Taxes / Taxed Enough Already
From the top article below:
This just proves that you cannot throw money at a problem and expect a better outcome.
Regulation
From the top article below:
The fundamental elements to a nation’s economy are its energy resources, be they fuel, electricity, or personal initiative to succeed. These sources of energy are what is driving the economy and with it our enthusiasm for the future.
Another one that is vitally important to read is the article below:
Our nation MUST NOT allow China’s Huawei or ZTE communications infrastructure equipment into our networks. I encourage you to do some personal research into why this is important for our nation’s security interests.
National Debt / Its the Spending, Stupid!
From the top article below:
As much as I agree that the Trump administration is improving our nation (AKA, Winning!), I am sorely disappointed that nothing has been done to reduce our nation’s debt. This is a fundamental TEA Party interest as we prepare for future generations.
Economy
From the top article below:
These charts reflect data that supports President Trump’s claims that our nation is on a strong trajectory. Sure, there are a lot of cyclical trends in the data but the current forecast is definitely good. As we roll into the 2020 election, the phrase, "It’s the economy, stupid” has taken on a fresh meaning now that it is Republican administration that can boast about it.
Patriotism / America First
From the top article below:
This is the best 3 minutes you will have all day. Watch it with your kids and explain to them some of the historical references made in this video that most likely were omitted in their school classroom.
First Amendment / Freedom of Speech / Freedom of Religion
From the top article below:
The First Amendment protects ALL speech, not preferred speech. As censorship of all types -especially regarding religious faith- takes hold our country loses the opportunity to advance for all.
Second Amendment / Right to Keep and Bear Arms
From the top article below:
The above quote brings out a point described below with regard to how rich donors have taken control of Virginia’s legislators. That explains why the Democrats have pressed ahead with gun control legislation that has been resoundingly rejected by We The People Of Virginia. America is watching us, Virginia.
Fourth Amendment / Right to Privacy
From the top article below:
Time for everyone to check to see if they are running this software. If you are, please consider eliminating it from your system. Those that are running it on their computers usually have a tagline at the e-mail’s signature indicating such. Now we all will wonder if our e-mail addresses have also been shared with the third-party.
Abortion / Right to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness
From the top article below:
The opening line above just confirms what we have all known about the organization responsible for teaching America’s youth: they have been hiding their pro-abortion position only from overt scrutiny. Now, “the cat is out of the bag” and we should expect that their position takes a more overt stance within the classrooms.
Corruption / Rule of Law
From the top article below:
What is being described above is, in essence, pure and unadulterated corruption. This is why our Founding Fathers set up our Republic with mechanisms for a balance of power. Unfortunately, if the representatives that we elect into office go unchecked by We The People than we have no one to blame but ourselves. Accountability of our government officials is the only way to mitigate the human tendency to be self-serving.
National Sovereignty / Border Security / Illegal Alien Invasion
From the top article below:
Geeze, what a great idea to get Mexico to recognize that they need to secure their own borders as well.
Conservatism / Capitalism
From the top article below:
It is easy to forecast that President Trump would handily defeat Bernie Sanders in a one-on-one election contest (especially during the debates that precede the election). The real existential threat that Sanders presents to America is that he, an avowed Socialist, will be able to legitimize Socialism to the American audience. His rise to parity with President Trump on ANY platform gives the impression to uneducated voters that Socialism is “just another form of government.” The lack of education on this point within America’s schools has paved the way for this erroneous perspective to flourish. And THAT is what should be feared most.
Socialism / Creeping Socialism
From the top article below:
Bernie Sanders will never be elected President. 40-years from now, and when today’s poorly educated Millennials have taken control of the levers of government power, may present a different challenge. The “stink” of Socialism, and its eventual evolution to Communism, MUST be taught in our schools if we are to remain a Republic.
Censorship / Social Media Censorship
From the top article below:
This is unbelievable… that a government politician is asking (directing???) a media tech “giant” to impose content censorship upon American citizens. Surely this is illegal from a First Amendment point of view.
Denial / Deception / Propaganda / Social Engineering
From the top article below:
What Rahm Emanuel is describing is the purpose of eliminating the Electoral College in order to subvert the will of rural America. We have seen the effects here in Virginia where the population centers of northern and Tidewater Virginia significantly influence voting (Governor, Senators, etc.). This is NOT what the Founding Fathers had when they established our Republic.
Attacks Against Conservatives
From the top article below:
The 1960s college students began the trend away from diversity of thought to where, on today’s college campus, a radical form of uni-thought has taken root. There are many stories that confirm this trend and there is not an effective push-back that can be seen to date. The only way to combat this is to teach elementary, middle, and high school children the importance of alternate viewpoints. Doing so will mitigate the radical’s tendency toward violence.
Elections / Vote Integrity
From the top article below:
Elsewhere the term, “oligarch” is used to describe Michael Bloomberg. That description seems quite appropriate. For an equivalent parallel, do an Internet search for what a “Russian oligarch” is and what a corrosive effect that has had on that country. An American oligarch, especially one that is both corrupt and in an official government position, would be disastrous.
Miscellaneous
As always, I welcome any questions or comments you may have.
