7 August 2020

Fellow Members of the King George TEA Party:

It was great seeing the huge turn-out last night and the meeting was very, very productive.  Most especially we appreciate all of the people that volunteered to support tomorrow’s (Saturday) One Nation Under God rally.  After only a couple weeks of planning it looks like we actually are going to pull this off!

This is a pro-America event.  We have much to be thankful for as American citizens.  Our history is rich, our people are good, our nation is strong, and our future is bright.  This is also a pro-God event.  Our nation’s Judeao-Christian foundation and the religious beliefs of our Founding Fathers have served us well throughout our nation’s history.  God, and godly principles, serves as the foundation of our American families and is the bedrock of a stable society.  These are the two over-arching themes that we will celebrate tomorrow.

For those that are going to attend the rally ‘virtually’, i.e., via Facebook Live, things are going to be quite easy.  I anticipate we will begin broadcasting no later than 10:50 for the 11:00 kickoff and broadcast until we are done (approximately 40 minutes later).   ‘Attending’ via Facebook Live will best serve those that have health issues, mobility issues, or just plain don’t want to be out in the August heat.  This also significantly reduces risk to COVID-19 exposure.  Note that you DO NOT need to have a Facebook account to watch the Facebook Live broadcast.  All you will need to do is hit this link:

Also, you can send the above link to all of your like-minded friends and family across the nation to share in this truly American experience.  We will also save the video for your delayed viewing after the event concludes.  How cool is that?!?!?

For those that are going to attend in-person, here is some important information…

  • The event will begin at 11:00 at the King George high school in the parking lot in front of the main entrance.  Park in the lot between the school and the football stadium.  Weapons, smoking/vaping, and alcohol are prohibited.

  • We are still in Virginia’s Phase 3 for COVID-19 response and hosting this as a ‘social event’ under the published guidelines (available here).  Signs will be posted at the entrance, hand sanitizer available adjacent to the arena, and 6-foot distancing markers on the pavement.  The most important point is that if you are sick or have been exposed to COVID within the past 14 days PLEASE STAY HOME.  Bring a mask for personal protection.  Contact Scott at the KG Health Department if you suspect COVID exposure (540-775-3111).  Contact me if you suspect COVID exposure at this event.

  • There will be no refreshments or restroom facilities available… so plan accordingly.  We will keep the event as short as possible to accommodate.

  • The weather forecast is interesting.  Low 80s temperatures, mostly cloudy in the morning, then becoming partly sunny with a chance of showers.  A rather all-over-the-map forecast, eh?  Bring an umbrella or a hat just in case.

  • Bring a folding chair.  Grab some water to drink.  Sunscreen might be a good idea.

  • Bring your family.  Bring a friend.  And a smile.

  • Get your ‘Merica on.  Wear your patriotic shirt and hat.  Bring a flag.  Decorate your vehicle.

We have a great list of speakers that will cover a wide spectrum of issues facing America.  Most of the speakers will be fellow citizens and some on a stage for their very first time.  Here is the Agenda:

  • Welcome
  • Invocation
  • Pledge of Allegiance
  • National Anthem
  • Opening Remarks - Why Hold the One Nation Under God Rally?
  • The Importance of God to Our Founding Fathers and Our Nation Today
  • The Battle to Preserve Our First Amendment Rights - Its All or Nothing
  • The Importance of Our Second Amendment Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow
  • Preventing 1984 - Our Nation Needs to Retain Our American History
  • Things We Must Fight For - Rule of Law, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights
  • Why We Fought and Why We Fight - The Declaration of Independence
  • Closing Remarks
  • Benediction
