King George, Virginia

Fellow Members of the King George TEA Party:

This past Thursday we had a FANTASTIC monthly meeting featuring guest speakers Daniel Gade (running for Virginia Senator to unseat Mark Warner), Dakota Worrell (from the Republican Party of Virginia), and Jeff Bueche (member of the King George Board of Supervisors).  The following was my Thank You note to Daniel for his visit:

  • "Daniel:

  • Thank you VERY much for joining the King George TEA Party and the King George Republican Committee for our joint meeting this week.  Everyone that I talked to after the meeting overwhelmingly agreed that you will handily defeat Mark Warner in the November election for a litany of reasons.  First, and foremost as an elected representative, you hold our commonwealth’s and our nation’s interests as your primary concern.  Second, you demonstrated to everyone that we share the same principles and values that are foundational to this country - integrity, initiative, and 'true grit' in overcoming obstacles.  Third, you presented a clear distinction between Mark Warner’s track record of falsely claiming to be a moderate versus your firm commitment to support and defend the Constitution of the United States, protect the most vulnerable among us, and strengthen our country’s economy.  These are all ‘winning' aspects of who you are that We The People Of Virginia can support."

Taxes / Taxed Enough Already

From the top article below:

  • "The budget will dramatically decrease foreign aid and social safety-net spending, while increasing funds for NASA, Homeland Security, and the Department of Veterans Affairs. The proposal also allocates $2 billion for the border wall, while slashing the Environmental Protection Agency's budget by a whopping 26 percent, the Wall Street Journal reported.  In total, the budget proposes $4.4 trillion in budget cuts over the next decade."

We should all applaud this effort to rein in federal spending.  $4.4 trillion may seem like a lot of money… but since the debt clock is now in the $23 trillion mark and that proposed reduction is over a decade it seems to be a minimal effort.  But at least it is something...

A Comment made regarding the top article below:

  • "Hmmm... did the government built all the gas stations in America? If not, why are the tax payers funding these EV stations?"

This comment is spot-on.  If the American public want to embrace electric vehicles then the public will fund the EV stations.  Federal funding to “push” electric power vehicles is NOT a Constitutional role of government.

National Debt / Its the Spending, Stupid!

From the top article below:

  • "Wasteful spending is a bipartisan problem.  Patronage Republicans in Congress have a history of joining Democrats to drain the U.S. Treasury from the left. If the president is going to have credibility in the fight against socialism, he cannot be seen as draining the treasury from the right."

As noted above in the Taxes section, it is good to see that spending is FINALLY being addressed.  But there is so much more that needs to be done.

A Comment from the top article below:

  • "I enjoyed Trump’s speech because it was a magnificent statement about America becoming a nation that benefits not the 1% but the 99%. In a funny way, Trump is the real “Occupy Movement,” because his policies, by taking the regulatory yoke off American necks, unleashed American energy, innovation, and creativity — and the 99% did the rest. Trump is not a plutocrat or an oligarch; he is the answer to the plutocracy and oligarchy of the Obama era, a time during which we saw an almost fascistic fusion between government and big money."

The SOTU was fantastic because it both highlighted the economic successes over the past 3 years AND outlined additional work to be done - ALL to the benefit of America’s economy.

First Amendment / Freedom of Speech / Freedom of Religion

From the top article below:

  • "Because the Constitution proscribes government censorship, Spencer and his ilk would circumvent this protection by coercing private entities such as Facebook into censoring political speech. Having proven their bullying prowess, these very same censorious leftists would then dictate what speech will no longer be free and ration your political speech according to their own ideological whims. To the Left, property is property, be it physical or intellectual; confiscation is confiscation; they believe your property is theirs to confiscate."

Censorship is probably the strongest reason to NOT have a Facebook account.

Second Amendment / Right to Keep and Bear Arms

From the top article below:

  • "'Assault weapons are not protected by the Second Amendment because they are weapons of war,' Moran said."

When the Second Amendment was enshrined in the Constitution’s Bill of Rights, the weapons being protected were the EXACT same ones used by the military at the time.  They were the “weapons of war” for the time.  The intent - AND THE IMPLEMENTATION - of the Second Amendment must remain regardless of technological advancement.  Moran is a moron.

Abortion / Right to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness

From the top article below:

  • "Pretty sure ‘abortion after birth’ is simply murder, but what do I know."

As noted during last Thursday’s meeting… if death is determined when a heartbeat stops… then life begins when a heartbeat begins.  Deliberately stopping that heartbeat, then, is murder.

Corruption / Rule of Law

From the top article below:

  • "A clear indication that the theory that fossil fuels, rising CO2 and humans cause global warming or climate change is a hoax or a series of lies is that the globe had a significant cooling period from 1945 to 1976. It cooled so much that it was predicted on the first Earth Day in 1970 that we were having a disastrous cooling period where billions would die from starvation."

Many of us remember the “snowball Earth” scare that went on in the early 70s.  Today it is ‘global warming.’  It is all a scam.

National Sovereignty / Border Security / Illegal Alien Invasion

From the top article below:

  • "The local Fox News affiliate reported that critics say the law would reward this demographic, which has already broken the law by being in the country illegally. Those who support the bill say it would 'increase the state’s revenue and decrease the level of fear existing in the immigrant community.'”

Increased revenue and decreased fear?  What weak excuses for enabling illegal aliens to continue to flagrantly violate our laws.

Socialism / Creeping Socialism

From the top article below:

  • "He said groups loyal to communist China are operating out in the open in Virginia, Minnesota, Florida and dozens of other states all around the country. Other Chinese groups, however, practice their nefarious actions in the shadows in an attempt to exercise influence over U.S. citizens and lawmakers."

This is a serious issue that gets little press.  For those that truly wish to become educated on just how prevalent Chinese infiltration into America has become, I encourage you to read the book
Chinese Industrial Espionage: Technology Acquisition and Military Modernization.

Censorship / Social Media Censorship

From the top article below:

  • “'Facebook is creating a digital gulag and Mark Zuckerberg is essentially the gestapo, silencing and even threatening the lives of those who he disagrees with politically. In May, Facebook and Instagram banned me and labeled me a dangerous individual, which prompted me to file a 3 billion dollar lawsuit against the company for defamation. The day I filed my lawsuit, Facebook changed its community standards to say it was ok for users to post death threats against me and others they deemed dangerous individuals,' Loomer continued. 'It is so obvious Facebook and it’s company Instagram along with Twitter are amping up their silencing of conservatives so that they can help the Democrats steal the 2020 election. They must be stopped.'”

… and people wonder why I am not on Facebook.

Denial / Deception / Propaganda / Social Engineering

From the top article below:

  • "Here we see an inversion of how a democratic election is supposed to unfold. Rather than allow open, free public discourse to determine which issues will be at the fore of the campaign, Johnston advocates a scenario where the media selects the issues that should be of concern to the public and then gins up coverage to generate public support for their objectives.  Generally speaking, these journalistic biases are driven by a low opinion of the public."

The scenario where the “media selects the issues that should be of concern to the public” has a name.  That name is “propaganda."

Attacks Against Conservatives

From the top article below:

  • “'Because you’re racist.'  All right. And how did he know he was a racist, Dennis asked?  'I can tell by looking at you,' our antifa friend responded."

Unfortunately, this same type of prejudice has become quite prevalent over the past couple of years to the point that Attacks Against Conservatives is a well-populated section in this Newsletter.

Elections / Vote Integrity

From the top article below:

  • "Kremer called on Trump voters to get involved and help retake the House majority.  'Now is the time for them to get off their couches, get out and meet other Trump supporters and let’s get engaged and make sure that we take the House and take the gavel out of Pelosi’s hands,' she said."

This was the central message that Dakota Worrell brought up for discussion this past Thursday evening.  We MUST get out of our comfort zones in order to win elections so that the Republic can be restored.

As always, I welcome any questions or comments you may have.
