Fellow Members of the King George TEA Party:

Yesterday I received input from some of our members and met with some community leaders regarding a counter-BLM initiative.  We recognized that an All Lives Matter counter-protest would only narrowly address the propaganda from the Marxist Black Lives Matter, Inc. and their followers.  Sure, pointing out that the BLM movement is racist and segregationist at its core (and at times violent) in order to prompt our fellow citizens to reject their anti-American perspective is important… but it would do nothing to unify us or our community.

Instead we propose hosting a One Nation Under God rally specifically held to celebrate our nation, our nation’s exceptional accomplishments, and to reaffirm that God blessed this nation.  King George no longer celebrates Independence Day with fireworks, this year the Frazier-Mason Some Gave All memorial motorcycle ride was cancelled, and all of Virginia’s church gatherings have been severely impacted due to the COVID-19 restrictions.  This venue would be a great opportunity to “get your ‘Merica on,” share some time with fellow patriotic Americans, and pray for our nation’s future.

I have requested use of the King George high school's parking lot for this event to be hosted on Saturday 8 August 2020.  I figure that we would want to set up a podium and public address system in order to address the gathering, hear some speakers, and lead in some prayers.  An hour ought to be quite sufficient for such so I will request access to the parking lot from 10:00 to 1:00 in order to get setup, have the rally, and then breakdown/depart.  We should make it an objective to have more attendees than the recent BLM protest (reported to be 75) but we will need to keep it below 250 to adhere to Virginia’s Safer at Home's Phase 3 guidelines.

As a participant I think that you should bring your American flag, your family, and your patriotic friends.  If you have a pickup truck, Jeep, or motorcycle you may consider decking it out with a flag and leaving it up during the rally.  If you have any red-white-blue hats, shirts, or pants then wear them, too.  The idea is to feel as pro-America as we can and leave unified as blessed citizens of the good ol’ USA.  Remember how unified we Americans were after the second World Trade Center building was hit by the terrorists on September 11?  Remember the prayers for our country we made due to that event?  Let’s rejuvenate ourselves with that feeling.

Let me know what you think about this proposal.
